Three rivers, the Misa River near Senigallia, the Cesano River and the Esino River, came out of their banks and flooded the surrounding areas. The event began in the afternoon of September 15, the amount of rainfall reached very high accumulations with a maximum of about 400 mm in a few hours in the town of Cantiano in the Pesaro Urbino province.
