资源简介:
The Technical University of Munich Photomultiplier Tube Spectrometer SN001 was deployed on 2020-09-28 at ODP 1027C. ODP 1027C is a borehole site used to pinpoint an area within Cascadia Basin. This device is a Bioluminescence Spectrometer. A spectrometer is a device that forms a spectrum, often utilizing the phenomenon of dispersion. In optical spectroscopy, in particular, spectrometers show the intensity of light as a function of wavelength or of frequency. In addition, these devices are utilized to measure luminescence of emission spectra including information on intensity and direction from light pulses. In the case of underwater spectrometers, these instruments mainly focus on bioluminescence emissions and measuring the spectrum of absorption in water. It was deployed on a fixed platform. Data from this deployment were archived and made available through Ocean Networks Canada's Oceans 2.0 digital infrastructure, with quality assurance and derived data products following established practices.
