Lipopolysaccharide (LPS) has been reported to contribute to a metabolic disorder of cattle - ruminal acidosis - by affecting ruminal bacteria. This study was conducted to determine how LPS affects the growth of ruminal bacteria pure cultures, including those that contribute to ruminal acidosis.
