Peltigera cyanolichens from Southern Chile

Over 1,000 Peltigera lichen samples collected and cataloged to date by the Microbial Ecology Lab (Universidad de Chile). We have a very solid compilation of Peltigera cyanolichens samples collected from a wide range of environments from Southern Chile. For this genus, this is certainly one of the largest collections in Chile. We molecularly identified the main symbionts by amplifying and sequencing fungal and cyanobacterial markers.
