Expression data from C6 glioma and small molecule induced glial cells (SMiG). Rattus norvegicus

Here we show that malignant glioma can be converted into benign glial cells through the combined action of small molecules. Gene ontology related to myelination and glial differentiation were significantly up-regulated in SMiG. Overall design: Our findings show the proof of concept that malignant gliomas can be reprogrammed to benign glial cells, using a combination treatment of small molecules, and their proliferation can be regulated by the differentiation.
