This dataset is an open-source toolkit designed for applying reinforcement learning (RL) to optimization problems in optical networks. It adopts specific state representations, action mappings and reward functions for the use case of dynamic routing, modulation and spectrum assignment (RMSA). The toolkit covers two network topologies: a 10-node optical network and the 14-node NSFNET topology, with its supported tasks including routing and wavelength assignment (RWA) as well as dynamic routing, modulation and spectrum assignment (RMSA).
