NRS-1716 | Volume entitled Ministers for Conservation

This volume, compiled in 1972, contains an introduction by the Hon. W.C. Fife, M.L.A., Minister for Conservation, which describes the functions and activities of the Department of Conservation and the historical background to its establishment in 1944. This introduction claims the purpose of the volume "is to provide an official and comprehensive record of those who have occupied the position of ministerial head of the Department of Conservation". The volume is largely empty but contains photographic portraits of all Ministers for Conservation from W.F. Dunn who was appointed on 8 June 1944 to G.F. Freudenstein, appointed on 19 June 1972.
