DNA virus niche partitioning and adaptation - vOTU sequences
收藏资源简介:
Assembled DNA virus sequences of vOTUs generated for the study, DNA viruses are constrained to ecological niches and share similar environmental adaptations with hosts (Hoggard et al., 2026, Nature Communications, In Press). Assemblies were generated from metagenome sequencing of sediment and filtered water samples collected from the Waiwera estuary, New Zealand, across nine sites spanning a salinity gradient from freshwater (site 1) to marine (site 9). Further information on the generation of vOTUs and associated metadata for the vOTU sequences are available in Methods and Supplementary Data provided with the publication, DNA viruses are constrained to ecological niches and share similar environmental adaptations with hosts (Hoggard et al., 2026, Nature Communications, In Press). Additional information on sampling and sequence data generation is available in the related publication, Microbial river-to-sea continuum: gradients in benthic and planktonic diversity, osmoregulation and nutrient cycling (Tee et al., 2021, Microbiome, https://doi.org/10.1186/s40168-021-01145-3).
