资源简介:
These experimental data were generated to evaluate the effects of shifts in precipitation chemistry (i.e., increases and decreases in acid deposition) on the mobilization of soil constituents from forested headwater catchments. The study includes data from four sites:
SRRW – Sleepers River Research Watershed, located in Danville, Vermont
COR – Clement Woodlot, located in Corinth, Vermont
SCG – Second College Grant, located in Clarksville, New Hampshire
BEF – Bartlett Experimental Forest, located in Bartlett, New Hampshire
We conducted sampling campaigns in Fall 2023 across all sites. At each location, we sampled 0 - 10cm and 10 - 30cm using soil cores at sites co-located with mineral weathering experiments. These minimally disturbed cores were transported to the lab and subjected to repeat flushing using solutions with varying compositions (see details in the accompanying “read me” document). Leachates were collected and analyzed for pH, DOC, DIC (in some cases), TDN, anions, and cations.
