Vertical sleeve gastrectomy triggers fast β-cell recovery upon overt diabetes

This dataset consists of single-cell RNA-seq (10X) data of pancreatic islets isolated from healthy and diabetic db/db mice that underwent VSG surgery, Sham surgery (Control) and Sham surgery + pair-feeding (Calorie-restriction control). 7 single-cell RNA sequencing experiments of pancreatic islets isolated from male Lepr-deficient db/db and WT mice, 16-18 weeks of age, were performed using 10X Genomics technology to generate single-cell transcriptomic profiles of healthy and db/db diabetic mice undergoing surgical interventions.
