资源简介:

This dataset contains 102,260 credit entries attributed to the Italian TV Series Sample in this community (DOI identifier: https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.17191258). Each row represents a single credit attribution, enabling researchers to analyze creative labor patterns, industry networks, gender representation, and collaborative structures in Italian television production. The credits were extracted from episode opening and closing sequences and validated against IMDb records where available. Quality control procedures included standardization, duplicate resolution, and systematic normalization to ensure data consistency across the sample. Data can be filtered by individual episodes using the episode_name variable, allowing researchers to examine the complete credit structure of specific episodes. Here is a detailed description of all variables (columns) contained in the credits dataset of the Italian TV Series Sample: episode_name: A unique episode identifier that encodes metadata (including year, macro_distributor, macro_genre, IMDb code, series title, season, and episode). This matches the episode_name structure in the main Italian TV Series Sample dataset, enabling direct linkage between the two datasets. role_detail – The original professional description of the credit as it appears in the episode (e.g., "scritto da", "Regia", "con"). This field preserves the exact wording from the source material and may be empty for cast members listed without specific role descriptors. Note: The same person+role combination may appear multiple times within a single episode when an individual holds multiple specific roles within the same professional macro-category (e.g., both "Sceneggiatura" and "Soggetto" credits for the same writer, both categorized under the Writers role group). role_group_normalized – Standardized role category aligned with IMDb classifications as of August 2025 (e.g., Writers, Directors, Cast, Producers, Cinematographers). Any IMDb classification updates after this date are not reflected in this dataset. is_person – Binary indicator distinguishing between individual contributors (1) and organizations (0). Individuals include actors, directors, writers, and crew members; organizations include production companies, distributors, and service providers. name – The full name of the person or organization as credited in the episode. For individuals, this typically follows the format "FirstName LastName"; for organizations, it includes the complete legal or commercial name (e.g., "Rai Fiction", "Fremantle"). assigned_code – Unique identifier linking credits to external databases: nm codes (e.g., nm0597704) – IMDb person identifiers for individuals cm codes (e.g., cm000717) – Custom company identifiers for organizations gp codes (e.g., gp0000001) – Custom identifiers for individuals not found in IMDb, sequentially assigned during data collection Technical Note: This CSV file uses UTF-8 encoding to preserve Italian characters and special symbols. If characters appear incorrectly when opening the file (e.g., "è" displays as "è"), please verify that your software is configured to read UTF-8 encoding. Questions or Issues?
