CRMSCD

China region meteorological satellite cloud image dataset (CRMSCD) is constructed based on the L1 data product of FY-4A satellite and the cloud classification results of Himawari-8 satellite through time selection, projection transformation, geometric calibration, time and space alignment, region cropping and file format conversion. The final results contain FY-4A daily images and corresponding Himawari-8 labels at 3:30 and 4:30 from 1 January 2020 to 31 July 2020, which are saved in Tag Image File Format (TIFF) format. CRMSCD contains nine cloud types(Nimbus (Ns), Stratus (St), Cumulus (Cu), Cirrus (Ci), Deep Convective Cloud (Dc), Cirrostratus (Cs), Altocumulus (Ac), Altostratus (As), and Stratocumulus (Sc)) and the clear sky (cloudless). The study area ranges in longitude from 80°E to 139.95°E and in latitude from 5°N to 54°N, which can be used for cloud recognition (pixel level classification) and conforms to the world Meteorological Organization standard.
