Gene expression changes in colon cancer spheroids induced by chemotherapy. Patient-derived colonospheres were exposed to six cycles of 5-fluorouracil (5-FU). RNA was isolated from colonospheres prior to treatment (pre-treatment, n=5), from the surviving tumor cells after the last cycle (post-treatment, n=5) and from cells recovered after therapy (recurrence, n=5).
