资源简介:
This dataset accompanies a mixed-methods educational study that evaluated a novel interprofessional (IP) ethics and communication module designed for undergraduate students in medicine, nursing, dentistry, and physiotherapy. The module, titled “Harmonizing Health: Navigating Ethics and Communication in IP Practice,” integrated visual hermeneutics (reflective interpretation of paintings) and storytelling to promote collaborative, patient-centered competencies that are often underemphasized in discipline-based curricula. Faculty from multiple health professions underwent a structured faculty development program (FDP) to prepare them as facilitators, and the usefulness of the FDP was assessed using a semistructured questionnaire. The learning intervention was implemented among 62 second-year undergraduates using a two-step format comprising participatory group discussions and facilitated debriefing. Student outcomes were evaluated through questionnaires and reflective writing mapped to the first two levels of the Kirkpatrick evaluation model, while facilitator perceptions of student engagement and session conduct were also documented. Overall, both facilitators and students reported high satisfaction, improved confidence, active participation, and enhanced understanding of ethics, communication, and teamwork in IP practice, supporting the feasibility and educational value of introducing IP ethics and communication early in undergraduate health professions education.
