Circadian rhythms control the diurnal nature of many physiological, metabolic and immune processes. Circadian rhythms are tighly controlled by positive and negative transcriptional loops; This circuitry is altered during aging altering tissue daily function. Lungs from 2-month-old and 22-month-old male mice were perfused with PBS and harvested every 4 hours from ZT0 (Light onn) to ZT24 with ZT12 corresponding to light off.
