Datasets of the three AIMS of the project "DAILY TIME USE, PHYSICAL ACTIVITY, QUALITY OF CARE AND INTERPERSONAL RELATIONSHIPS IN PSYCHIATRIC RESIDENTIAL FACILITIES: AN ITALIAN MULTICENTRE STUDY" Italian Ministry of Health, Italy, Ricerca Finalizzata (Grant RF-2018-12365514) (https://www.diapason-study.eu/).

AIMS:

(1) To assess the use of daily time and subjective perception of time in a sample of patients with a Diagnosis of Schizophrenia Spectrum Disorder (SSD), both in Residential Facilities (RF) and outpatient settings. Additionally, we will examine the relationship between the severity of psychiatric symptoms (with particular focus on negative symptoms such as avolition, amotivation, alogia, affective flattening, etc.) and the amount of time spent in inactive conditions.

(2) To analyze the pattern of daily activities and mood using the Experience Sampling Method (ESM) and to monitor the level of physical activity and sleep-wake rhythm with a wrist-worn accelerometer in a subgroup of these patients and in healthy controls matched for gender and age.

(3) To investigate the quality of the therapeutic alliance and the needs of patients admitted to Residential Facilities (RF), and to compare these evaluations with those of the professionals providing treatment to these residents. The study will also analyze the quality of care provided in each RF.
