Artificial miRNA mediated knock-down ago17 transgenic lines showed developmentally compromised phenotype in both vegetative and reproductive tissues compared to wild-type control, whereas the overexpression of AGO17 enhanced plant growth and yield. We have performed small RNA seq to investigate underlying molecular mechanism and to reveal functional role of AGO17 in rice. We have performed small RNA-seq analysis using mature panicles (Stage 12) of WT, over-expression and knock-down transgenic lines of AGO17. Libraries were prepared from total RNA isolated from the tissues mentioned.
