Dataset from the SW Gulf of Mexico marine core RC10-265PC XRF, CaCO3 and TOC analyses, spanning MIS 6 to MIS 1

In the sediment Core RC10-265PC collected in the oligotrophic region of the SW Gulf of Mexico, multiproxy records of primary productivity and clastic inputs were reconstructed for the last 180 ka over the Late Pleistocene to Holocene (last 180 cal ka BP). This database includes two tables. Table S1 consists of the concentrations and distribution of major, minor and trace elements, including those depth horizons with ash layers versus core depth (cm). Table S2 does not include the ash layers, but the principal major, minor and trace elements, the total organic carbon (TOC, %wt) and calcium carbonate (CaCO3, %wt) content, besides the PC1 (scores) of the Principal Component Analisis relative to the age of the core (ka).
