Dataset Summary Please note: this data is live (updated nightly) to reflect the latest changes in the City's systems of record. About this data: This dataset is a polygon feature layer with the boundaries of the footprints of all buildings within the city. Users can click on a given building's polygon to open a pop-up window with more information, including the building class and whether the building currently exists or has been demolished. For demolished buildings, the pop-up provides details about the demolition. About the Bureau of Buildings and Zoning City of Rochester's Bureau of Buildings and Zoning is responsible for the administration and enforcement of building, zoning and property codes, administration of rehabilitation grant programs, and administration of the city's demolition program. Building Class: Describes the general type or primary use of a building. Potential values include: Residential Single Residential Multiple Garage Commercial Number of Units or Apts: Indicates the total number of individual dwelling units within the building. Demolished: Notes whether the building has been demolished (“Demolished”) or still exists (“Existing”). Date Demolished: The day the building was demolished (MM/DD/YYYY), if applicable. Demolition Note: Demo bid package number, or emergency demo. Demolition Detail: Description of building, City vs private demo.
