Spatially explicit two-epoch (2000 and 2020) population density datasets for six wild ungulate species on the Qinghai–Tibet Plateau

We introduce a comprehensive framework that integrates species occurrence data, habitat suitability modeling, and literature-based density calibration to generate spatially explicit population density estimates of wild ungulates across the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. We provide dynamic range (minimum, mean, and maximum) population density distribution data for six key wild ungulate species—Tibetan antelope, wild yak, white-lipped deer, Tibetan wild ass, blue sheep, and Tibetan gazelle—for the years 2000 and 2020. These data are provided in GeoTIFF format with the coordinate reference system WGS 1984 Albers Equal Area projection. Each raster layer represents the predicted density (individuals per km²) for a specific species and year.
