The Province of Ontario requires public sector to report their energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions for their operations under O.Reg. 25/23. The City of Brampton prepares and submits annual reports to be in compliance. The submitted datasets (2010 - 2019) have been posted on the Government of Ontario website. The datasets include annual electricity and natural gas consumption and associated greenhouse gas emissions at City operated facilities, including administrative offices, public libraries, recreation centres, indoor sports facilities, fire stations, storage facilities and transit buildings. The City receives utility bills that contain energy consumption data. The raw data is input into utility data management software. The software calculates the annual energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions which is then georeferenced using the City's corporate address data. Last updated: August 30, 2021 with 2018 & 2019 report values.
