Data set for Figures 1-12 of 3-D MHD stability of magnetotail configurations with a B_z hump and Figures S1-S5 of the Supporting Information

Data files are saved as .txt files in 2 formats, with some exceptions, with reference numbers nref referring to individual runs. The association between the run notations A, B, C, D, E and the reference numbers is given below. Line plots and 2D color plots are generated using the commercially available software IGOR, based on interpolation onto a 200x200 grid.

A) typchump-nref.txt files contain time, maximum electric field (abs. Value), hump location xhump, and magnitude of Bz at the hump peak location.

B) Fc(x,y,z0_time)-nref.txt files contain location xint, yint, zo, density rho, pressure pr, velocities, vx, vy, vz, and magneto field Bx, By, Bz at the given time.
