Percentage change in labor force in Italy 2021-2030, by age group

Between 2021 and 2030, the highest growth in the Italian labor force will be among the population aged over 65 years (6.6 percent). On the contrary, the work force among the population aged 25 to 49 years is estimated to drop by 0.7 percent.Italy's has, indeed, one of the oldest populations in the world. Its median age is forecasted to increase steadily and the number of births has been dropping constantly.
