Pierre Deligne Papers, Letters, and Translations: Canonical Archive Workflow and Working Editions

This is the single versioned archive for Pierre Deligne papers, supported letters, canonical French and English working editions, and every release-ready translation supplied in any language. 2026-08-04 workflow update. This version adds DELIGNE_WORKFLOW.zip, containing the controlling author-archive workflow, the verbatim workflow-template inputs, the Deligne-specific instantiation, exclusive custody record, and exact manifest. Edition rule. Current production has two independent edition deliverables only: one standalone French edition and one standalone English edition. No bilingual, side-by-side, paired, parallel, or interleaved edition is a current deliverable. Earlier combined-layout D001 and D002 files remain visible only as rejected historical evidence and are not current canonical outputs. Translation flow. Translation tasks check and freeze their own language files. This archive incorporates their release-ready packages with the producer's supplied status and hashes, without silently promoting drafts or partial work. Verified corrections to the canonical French or English authority are integrated here and later consumed independently by translation tasks. Stacks readiness. Current source work preserves stable structure, semantic identities, source spans, formulas, diagrams, and explicit dependencies so later Stacks conversion is straightforward. Actual Stacks conversion is not part of the current production phase. Status. Existing files retain their earlier working-draft and checkpoint labels. This workflow update does not promote any paper, letter, translation, or whole-corpus state beyond its recorded evidence.
