A Novel Genomic Panel as an Adjunctive Diagnostic Tool for the Characterization and Profiling of Breast Fibroepithelial Lesions

Breast fibroepithelial lesions (FELs) belong to a family of biphasic lesions, characterized by the proliferation of both their epithelial and stromal components. To differentiate the FELs from the common benign fibraodenomas (FAs) to the rarer phyllodes tumors (PTs). A novel 16 gene targeted panel was designed to serve as an adjunctive diagnostic tool, particularly in core biopsy specimens that have indeterminate histological diagnoses.
