Dimensional and geometrical data of artefacts produced with PBF-EB in Ti4822 alloy

This dataset contains the dimensional and geometrical data of artefacts produced using the Arcam A2X PBF-EB machine processing the Ti4822 alloy. The artefacts are portions of the benchmark proposed by Minetola et al. (P. Minetola, L. Iuliano, G. Marchiandi, Benchmarking of FDM Machines through Part Quality Using IT Grades, Procedia CIRP 41 (2016) 1027–1032) and useful to asses the dimensional and geometrical capability of processes. The artefacts contain spheres, cylinders, cones, and planes with different sizes. The artefacts were produced using two different melting strategy: contour first and hatch after and with hatch only. The measures of these artefacts allow the dimensional and geometrical comparison among the two different melt strategies.
