Seeing the Sangh

This project is a wide-ranging investigative data-collection project that seeks to puncture the environment of obfuscation surrounding the organisational network of the Hindu far-right by constructing the world’s first map of this network. For too long, activists and researchers have prematurely conceded the ‘shadowy network’ surrounding the RSS to be unknowable without empirically investigating the material contours of its network. This project aims to trace exactly what the constituent parts of the Indian far-right actually are. This work is a necessary precursor to an ecosystem of future investigations into the flow of money, authority and personnel within this network, and a critical innovation into studies of, and investigations into, the Indian far-right.
