Zooplankton pump samples sorted by species and life stages, Georges Bank region, Spring 1995, 97 and 99, US GLOBEC.

Small zooplankton which may be available for larval fish feeding
were sampled during 5 cruises to the Georges Bank region using a
pumping system attached to the CTD unit for depth control. Individual
samples were filtered through 40 um mesh prior to sorting. Sample
volume was measured to the nearest 0.1 liter (+/-1%) with an in-line
flow sensor. Samples were taken at fixed nominal depths of 70, 50,
40, 35, 30, 25, 20, 15, 10, 5, and 2 m.

Zooplankton samples were sorted/counted by taxa and life stages
(Copepodite and Nauplius). Within each of the major life stages,
the taxa were further sorted into six developmental stages.
Copepodite stage 6 was further sorted by gender.
