As of February 2024, nearly 50 percent of the internet users surveyed in Colombia stated they accessed news on Facebook. Around four out of ten respondents used WhatsApp for the same purpose. The top online news brands in Colombia in 2024 included the websites of the newspaper El Tiempo and of the TV news program Noticias Caracol.
