Small RNA-seq of breast tumor biopsies prior to treatment with letrozole or letrozole with bevacizumab

Biopsies were collected from post-menopausal women with ER+ HER2- breast cancer who were subsequently treated with either letrozole or letrozole plus bevacizumab. Overall design: In one arm of the trial, the women received letrozole. In the other arm they received letrozole plus bevacizumab. Clinical responses were collected . Small RNA-seq was performed on biopsy isolated RNA and the abundances correlated to clinical outcomes. A classifier model for response to the combination therapy was derived. Patient outcome definitions: CR_DS = Complete Response and Down Staged DS = Down Staged PD = Progressed Disease PR = Partial Response PR_DS = Partial Response and Down Staged SD = Stable Disease
