This series consists of Forage Books from the Moulamein Police Station. Every second page in the volume represents a monthly record of the rations dispensed to horses at the station. The page is divided into columns which document the date, the number of rations of forage drawn for police horses belonging to the station, the number of rations drawn for police horses belonging to other stations, by whom ridden, on what duty, the number of rations issued for horses other than those in the police service, any particulars, and the amount of oats/maize, bran, hay/chaff and straw issued all measured in pounds. At the bottom of the page is a row for a cumulative total for the month, of all of the above mentioned headings.The following page is a monthly forage store account table, which outlines the stock on hand from the previous month, the amount of rations received for use, a total of the two previous entries, the expenditure for the month, and the balance on hand for next month. This is done for all varieties of feed including oats/maize, bran, hay/chaff and straw. The table also lists from whom supplies were received and allows for any remarks or comments. This monthly account is then signed by the officer in charge of the station.
