P/S-bearing assemblages in the CM chondrites Murchison and Murray
收藏资源简介:
This dataset supports a submicrometer-scale investigation of three distinct phosphorus/sulfur-bearing assemblages from the CM chondrites Murray and Murchison using analytical transmission electron microscopy. The study aimed to refine the characterization of nanocrystalline P/S-bearing assemblages and to constrain the speciation and redox state of phosphorus within these assemblages. These data were used to provide new insights into the formation pathways of P/S-bearing assemblages, potentially involving interactions with fluids under either nebular conditions or during parent-body aqueous alteration, and to discuss potential sources of extraterrestrial reactive phosphorus capable of driving prebiotic phosphorylation processes on early planetary bodies. The dataset includes raw and processed SEM and TEM/STEM data used for petrographic, crystallographic, and chemical characterization. It contains original TEM-SAED datasets, STEM-EDXS hyperspectral files (HyperSpy format), pixel-by-pixel STEM-EDXS quantifications for the elemental maps presented in the study, and all EDXS spectra acquired in SEM and STEM modes. Original SEM and TEM images documenting the petrographic context and nanoscale textures are also provided, together with the tables used in the associated publication.
