Detection of damage during initiation of DNA synthesis in S-phase

At the beginning of this reaction, 1 molecule of 'RNA primer-DNA primer:origin duplex' is present. At the end of this reaction, 1 molecule of 'DNA polymerase alpha:primase', and 1 molecule of 'RNA primer-DNA primer:origin duplex with DNA damage' are present.<br>This reaction takes place in the 'nucleus' (Gambus et al. 2009, Remus et al. 2009, Chattopadhyay et al.2007, Fien et al. 2004).
