资源简介:
Rapid climate change in the Arctic is expected to enhance lateral fluxes of organic carbon and nutrients from thawing soils to Arctic rivers. However, the seasonal and landscape drivers of Arctic riverine solute flux remain poorly understood. To understand changing patterns of solute flux within Arctic headwater catchments, we collected high-frequency measurements of water quality and meteorological data at the outlet of two catchments on the North Slope of Alaska: the Upper Kuparuk River catchment and Oksrukuyik Creek. From early June to late August across six years, we monitored dissolved organic carbon (DOC) and nitrate (NO3-) concentrations (2017-2019, 2021-2023), turbidity and specific conductance (2022-2023), pH, dissolved oxygen, water temperature, photosynthetically active radiation, and other meteorological parameters (2021-2023) at 15-minute intervals.
