Jiaobai is a symbiont of Z. latifolia and U. esculenta and is cultivated widely in southeast Asia as a common aquatic vegetable. In order to better understand the potential molecular mechanism of the stem gall expansion of Z. latifolia, we performed RNA-seq transcriptional profiling of the DEGs in the leaf, stem apical meristem and the initial stage of stem gall formation of Z. latifolia under different photoperiods and temperatures.
