Depth cores collected from the Ravenglass tidal flats in Cumbria, UK and from a mud patch within the Irish Sea. Cores were sliced anaerobically at 1 cm intervals until 10 cm, then at 2 cm intervals thereafter. Sample sediment was taken simultaneously for geochemical and microbial analysis.Multiplexed FASTQ files from V4-V5 16S rRNA gene sequencing on the Ion Torrent PGM using 316 chip.
