Metagenomic analysis of airway specimens from the Cohort of Asian and Matched European Bronchiectasis 2 (CAMEB2) Study

Spontaneous sputum from patients recruited to four independent bronchiectasis cohorts, including a large cross-sectional cohort of stable bronchiectasis (the CAMEB2 cohort), a non-diseased control cohort, and two longitudinal cohorts investigating the effect of antimicrobials for treatment of acute exacerbation or targeted Pseudomonas eradication therapy, were subjected to metagenomic sequencing and analysis defining variability in the bronchiectasis airway resistome and its association with clinical phenotypes.
