The Ray tracing method was applied to simulate received power (dBm) in the tunnel environment. A rectangular shape of the tunnel was considered for this study. The ray tracing was implemented for two scenarios, (a) open tunnel scenario (in which no section of the tunnel was collapsed) and (b) collapse scenario (in which section of the tunnel is collapsed with varying length of the collapse and position of the collapse). The received power was stored in the form of the table as: Parameter | Parameter| Parameter .... | Received power (0 to 80m with step of 0.125 (641 points for each variation of the input)) Following parametric sweep were performed in the ray tracing MATLAB simulations. Open Tunnel Scenario: - Tunnel geometry height (3m, 5m, 8m) width (2m, 5 m, 8m) length 80m  step 0.125 (641 points) - Material properties Permittivity (5, 10) Conductivity (0.01, 0.001) - Surface roughness (0, 10mm and 20mm) - Frequencies: 400, 860, 1320, 1780, 2240 and 2700 MHz (6 total for now -> step of 460 MHz) - Gains (0, 4, 8 dBi) - Polarizations (V, H, RHCP, LHCP) V is vertical polarization H is Horizontal polarization RHCP is Right hand Circular Polarization LHCP Left Hand Circular Polarization - Transmit power (1mW (0.001W), 10mW(0.01 W) and 100mW (0.1W)) - Horizontal position close to tunnel -> wall (named as "wall") mid-tunnel -> centre (named as "centre") - Vertical position (two different heights 0.1 meter below the height of the tunnel and 0.5m below the height of the tunnel For collapse tunnel scenario two more parameters were included. Collapse Tunnel Scenario: - Collapse lengths (1m, 5m). - Collapse position (0, 20, 40) (max position at 40m) ********************************************************************** Total Points/ simulations in the dataset No Collapse Total = 31,104 total sets of simulations (19,937,664 individual received power samples.)
