资源简介:
These files provide the altitudes of plumes retrieved from IASI measurements using CO signature. The retrieval approach is described and evaluated extensively in Lecomte 2025; the current algorithm is named COPHI (CO plume height from IASI) and is in its first version. It provides data from 01/01/2008 to 22/11/2024.
They contain
. The latitude, expressed in °N, with 4 decimals.
. The longitude, expressed in °E, with 4 decimals.
. The date (named DateTime), expressed in serial date/time, i.e. days since 0000-00-00 .
. A day/night filter (named DNfilter), whose values 1 and 0 correspond respectively to day and night measurement.
. The altitude of the plume, expressed in km, with no decimals. These altitudes are derived from the calculation of a hyperspectral range index (HRI) for CO, computed every kilometer from the ground up to 20 km. The altitude corresponding to the maximum HRI value is defined as the plume altitude.
. The maximum HRI value (named HRIvalue, with 4 decimals).
. A quality flag, with possible values of 0, 1, or 2. Data with a quality flag of 0 are not recommended for use. Data with a quality flag of 1 indicate a higher HRI threshold with altitude. Data with a quality flag of 2 are classified as “most reliable” since they are associated to a difference between the maximum value of the HRI profile and its mean that exceeds one standard deviation. The development team recommends using data with a quality flag of either 1 or 2.
