In this study, an in vitro fermentation model was constructed using gestating sow fecal microbiota as strains, aiming at investigating the variation patterns of gas and short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs) production, as well as the microbiota composition of different levels of alfalfa meal (ALM) under different fermentation times. This will help optimize feed formulation to improve sow intestinal health and performance, reduce environmental pollution, and enhance economic benefits.
