Vibrio phage KIT05. Vibrio phage KIT05
收藏资源简介:
A Vibrio parahaemolyticus-infecting phage, KIT05, belong to the Podoviridae family, was isolated from shrimp farm water collected from the Southwest of Vietnam. V. parahaemolyticus ATCC 17802, a bacterial pathogen in marine aquaculture system, is also known as an important pathogen that has been a major cause of food-borne illness worldwide, was used as the host bacterial strain for phage isolation and amplification by enrichment method. Whole genome sequence of phage KIT05 was performed with a high throughput Illumina HiSeq 2500 system sequencing Hokkaido System Science Co., Ltd. De novo assembly was performed by using Velvet v1.2.10. Open reading frames (ORFs) was predicted with GenemarkS for phage. Functional analyses and their annotations were carried out by using the BLASTP and UniProt (https://www.uniprot.org). KIT05 may be a good candidate for the development of biocontrol agents against V. parahaemolyticus infection.
