The author describes the epitope as being derived from vaccinia virus Copenhagen. A blast search maps this epitope to variola major virus. 2/20 non-HLA-A2 supertype subjects also responded to this epitope. This epitope was predicted using four computational models to bind to HLA class I molecules.
