Microbial consortium Metagenome

In this project focused on construction of an active lignocellulolytic microbial consortium (LMC) under conditions resemble in the anaerobic digestion process using swine manure (SM) as the substrate together with Napier grass (NP). Active LMCs seed from basement of decay bagasse pile were inoculated in the formulated culture synthetic medium PCS. All experiments were incubated under 55°C with static aerobic conditions. The active consortium were successively sub-cultivated given namely PLMC. Bacteria communities of SM, NP and PLMC structures were then characterized by tagged-16S rRNA gene sequencing using Ion Proton platform.
