This dataset contains the untargeted metabolomics raw data for the Ophiura sarsii complex, comprising populations from two contrasting cold-water environments: the dynamic Yellow Sea Cold Water Mass (YSCWM, species: O. sarsii vadicola) and the stable Bering Sea Cold Pool (BSCP, species: O. sarsii).
The dataset includes raw data generated from two analytical platforms:
1. GC-MS Data (.d format): Acquired using an Agilent 7890B GC-5977A MS system.
2. LC-MS Data (.raw format): Acquired using a Dionex UHPLC-Q-Exactive MS system, encompassing both ESI positive (POS) and negative (NEG) ionization modes.
Experimental groups include regular extraction samples (OS, n=5; OSV, n=5), ethanol-pretreated exploratory samples (EOS, n=2; EOSV, n=2) designed to enhance polar metabolite detection, and pooled Quality Control (QC) samples.
These raw data support the integrated multi-omics analysis investigating the physiological plasticity and metabolic trade-offs—specifically concerning membrane lipid remodeling, energy allocation, antioxidant defense, and osmoregulation—of cold-water benthic echinoderms under global environmental shifts.
