GSC1314-0530: An ultra-short period eclipsing low mass binary system

We propose the first detailed Xray study of the eclipsing Mdwarf binaryGSC13140530, consisting of two M dwarfs with masses 0.51 and 0.26 solar masses;its period of 0.192636 days makes GSC13140530 the Mdwarf system with theshortest known period, with the larger of the components almost filling itsRoche lobe. We propose a 35 ksec observation with XMMNewton to carry out thefirst indepth Xray study of this system with the aim to characterize theactivity properties of this remarkable system and to study the rotationalmodulation of its Xray flux. truncated!, Please see actual data for full text [truncated!, Please see actual data for full text]
