Wildlife Trust Regional Boundaries

The Wildlife Trusts operate across the UK through 46 individual charities, each with a defined geographic region. This dataset shows the indicative regional boundaries for each Trust, providing a spatial framework for management, partnership working, and reporting. The dataset was derived from Ordnance Survey Boundary-Line data (administrative boundaries) and modified to reflect the Wildlife Trusts’ agreed operational areas. This dataset is suitable for internal mapping, analysis, and organisational planning. For public use use the filtered view layer (Wildlife Trust Regional Boundaries - Open Data) which has a filtered view to remove some of the more sensitive attributes described below. Important Caveats: Boundaries are indicative and represent operational regions rather than precise legal or ownership boundaries.
