Dataset on Waste Heat Recovery from Solid Oxide Fuel Cells for Hydrogen Release Using Liquid Organic Hydrogen Carriers

This entry contains experimental data on the hot air-heated dehydrogenation of perhydro-benzyltoluene (H12-BT), simulating the utilization of excess waste heat from a high-temperature solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) system. The dataset includes temperature profiles, flow rates, hydrogen release rates, and other relevant parameters measured during the experiments. These data form the basis for Figures 8, 9, 10, 12, and 13, as well ESI Figure 1 - Figure 3 in the associated publication. Operating conditions for perhydro-benzyltoluene (H12-BT) dehydrogenation: reaction pressure 2-3 bar(a); hot air temperature 260 - 360 °C, feed flow rate 1.2 - 4.7 g/min.Feed flow rates of 1.75, 2.35 and 4.7 g/min correspond to hourly liquid space velocities (LHSV) of 0.45, 0,9 and 1.8 1/h.
