The Front

This bronze haut-relief is a commemorative sculpture in memory of Russia's dead during World War II. Here Leonid Razumovsky pays a tribute to his country's soldiers and therefore takes part in the patriotic and national reconstruction. Indeed such a reconstruction is always witnessed after such traumatizing and world-changing events. It stems from the need to remember but also to look forward – just as the three soldiers represented do.
