Dataset for Shrubs, microtopography and wind effects on marginal snowpack distribution using UAV acquisitions manuscript

This repository contains the scripts used to model snow depth (SD) and probability of snow presence (PSP) using gradient-boosting models, and to perform Kendall correlation analyses of shrub, microtopography, and wind effects on marginal snowpack distribution. The analyses are based on UAV-borne LiDAR and structure-from-motion (SfM) photogrammetry acquisitions and their derived high-resolution snow, vegetation, and terrain metrics from a study site in the central Spanish Pyrenees. The provided dataset enables the reproduction of model evaluation metrics and SHAP (SHapley Additive exPlanations) values for a representative UAV survey presented in the associated manuscript.
