Since 2018, an unexpected number of earthquakes have been occurring offshore Mayotte, in the Mozambique Channel. They are linked to the eruption of the Fani Maoré submarine volcano, 50 km offshore the island. Using a recently developed comprehensive automatic catalog, we created a database of the two years of volcano-tectonic seismicity between March 2019 and March 2021, selecting only the well-constrained events depending on locations errors. With this dataset, we analyzed in detail the active structures of the magmatic plumbing system and the temporal evolution of the seismicity during the eruption.
